Privacy notice

Who we are. Vegan Scotland (veganscotland.co.uk) is a small independent guide. Contact: hello@veganscotland.co.uk.

What we collect. Only what you type into our two forms: your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, and the business details plus your email if you submit a listing. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.

Why, and on what basis. Newsletter: we email you only because you asked us to (consent, which you can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link or emailing us). Listing submissions: to review and publish the business details you sent (our legitimate interest in running the guide). Your contact email is never published.

Where it is stored. Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify (our hosting provider), whose servers may be outside the UK; Netlify's privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy. Newsletter emails are sent through a mailing tool we will name here once chosen.

How long we keep it. Newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. Listing submissions for up to 12 months after review, so we can follow up on corrections.

Your rights. Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to its use. Email us and we will act within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
